Twitter discovers how hackers hacked top richest people account 

Twitter have disclosed how top richest verified Twitter accounts were compromised and used for portraying Scam tweets.

A recent occurrence which occured 15th July, 2020 has shown how hackers hacked top richest people account to scam people by sending a tweet as follows.

The hacking which featured top richest people like Bill Gates, Apple, Bitcoin,Obama, Bill Gates, Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa, BZ_Binance, Kim Kardashian, was seen to have taken everyone aback, A lot of Twitter users was seen to have fall for the Twitter Scam and a recent Studies shows about $81Million dollars and arround 478 transactions have been made already to the Bitcoin account used for the exploit.

Twitter reported, that the hackers remotely exploited their Security employees using a remote tool by Social Engineering, according to a tweet shared by their Twitter support handle.

We detected what we believe to be a coordinated social engineering attack by people who successfully targeted some of our employees with access to internal systems and tools.

Internally, we’ve taken significant steps to limit access to internal systems and tools while our investigation is ongoing. More updates to come as our investigation continues.

According to Tweet reports shared by Twitter support handle, it gave a response to the Tweet scandal not quite long when this attack was lunched.

We are aware of a security incident impacting accounts on Twitter. We are investigating and taking steps to fix it. We will update everyone shortly.

Twitter also immediately reported it had locked some accounts and as at the time of occurrence, it also disabled most verified accounts from tweeting or sending messages just to resolve the vulnerability and exploit.

Twitter also shared some tweets stating, its users won't be able to reset their passwords while this exploit is investigated.

 We have locked accounts that were compromised and will restore access to the original account owner only when we are certain we can do so securely.
